No comma. Unless you quote from separate parts of the same poem, like: (Stevens 1, 5-6). That would mean you quoted from lines one and five and six. But there is still no comma after the author's name.

That's the MLA rule; MLA is what most English teachers use. But when in doubt, ALWAYS ask the person who is going to grade it and then do it the way they want. :-)

    Hi!

Hemoglobin is a protein--a substance in the body. It is rich in iron (heme=root for iron ;-) ). Its main job is to carry the oxygen your lungs take in, to all the blood cells. So if you don't have enough iron--anemia--your body can't keep up its levels of hemoglobin, and the red blood cells can't do their job very well. You walk around feeling weak and tired because a whole bunch of you isn't getting enough oxygen (even if you're breathing fine.)

Myoglobin is a similar protein, except most of the time it hangs out in muscle tissue rather than blood. It can store oxygen until muscles need it (like if you're working out or lifting weights), but if the body doesn't have enough iron, it can also wander into the blood (maybe to help out the hemoglobin? I don't know, I'm not a scientist. ;-) ).

    Hope that helps!
